Tenerife Tram turns into a Post Office

Metrotenerife has scheduled for this Friday 2nd of June several activities to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the tram service. The president of Tenerife Island Government and Metrotenerife, Carlos Alonso; the managing director of Metrotenerife, Andrés Muñoz de Dios; the president of Philatelic and Numismatic Group of Tenerife, Miguel Hernández Gómez; and the chief of the Post Office Networks in Canary Islands, Berta Pérez Perdomo, presented the Post Office Tram that will visit the tram stops of Santa Cruz Intercambiador and La Trinidad.

During this day Metrotenerife has also organized other activities along the tram network and the tram stops, including the musical performance of 101 Brass Band and presents for the passengers.

This special tram will be at the Intecambiador tram stop, from 11:00 am to 14:00 pm, and then at the La Trinidad stop, from 17:00 pm to 20:00 pm. On Sunday 4th of June the Post Office Tram will also be at the General Gutiérrez Square. Besides the commemorative postal material, it will have the exhibition ‘Tranvías, filatelia y otros coleccionismos’ composed with 150 pieces.
