Tenerife tram supports the intermobolity that promotes the Mobility European Week

Mobillity European Week promotes the intermobility of the public transports with the slogan ‘Choose. Change. Combine your mobility’. In this regard, the Tenerife tram offers to clients this combination of public transports and contributes to preserving the environment reducing the number of car trips in metropolitan area about 16% of average.

Tenerife Tram is part of an integral transport network in the Island. The citizens can choose between tram, bus and taxi or combine them; promoting the sustainable mobility.

Bicycle parking

The tram’s intermobility has been reinforced with the bicycle parking next to La Trinidad tram stop, so the users of bicycles can combine bicycle and tram in their urban trips.

The parking has a surface area of 65 square meters with capacity for 36 bicycles; besides, it has security cameras 24 hours.

Ecological transport

Tenerife tram is a sustainable transport because it has high capacity, 200 passengers, and with a low power consumption, only 66 kilowatts-hours to run the 12,5 kilometers of the Line 1. Besides, it is a kind of transport that needs less urban surface. For example, a tram transports 200 passengers, whereas to transport the same passengers’ quantity it would need 3 buses or 177 cars.
