Metrotenerife recognized in the SmartRail World Innovation Awards

Recently Metrotenerife has been recognized for its ‘On-board Speed Monitoring System’ SIMOVE by achieving the third place in the SmartRail World Innovation Awards. These international Prizes are organized by SmartRail World Publishing, specialized in railway technology.

SIMOVE was selected in the category ‘Project of the Year’ together with the proposals of the Belgium and the Netherlands. The system controls, continuously, the speed of tramway or railway, so it can be activated in risk situations. Its highlights its adaptability and moderate cost.

In October 2017 SIMOVE was also awarded as the best safety initiative in the Global Light Rail.
