‘ten+’, the new contactless-ticketing card

The Tenerife Island Government has presented ‘ten+’, the new Tenerife Transport Card with contactless technology. It is the first step to simplify the current types of tickets.

From May to September, the new system will be tested by a group of volunteers who will value and correct its functioning. They will be able to use these cards on urban and intercity buses and trams. The definitive implementation of ‘ten+’ in the public transport will be on January 2018 and the passengers will be able to buy the card in the commercial offices of Metrotenerife and Titsa, mainly.
