Tenerife tram renews its Certification of Universal Accesibility

Metrotenerife has renewed the AENOR Universal Accessibility Certification, according the regulation UNE-17001-2:2007.

Thereby Tenerife tram keeps renewing this certification that got in 2011 and turned it into the first Spanish public transport in ensuring the universal accessibility in all its services, passengers’ transport, information and sale of tickets. The currently certification is valid until 2020.

AENOR highlighted some aspects of Tenerife trams, such as the obtaining of the certificate of Braille for the ticket dispensing machine, the awareness campaign about persons with mobility reduced and the collaboration with the different groups of persons with disabilities on the implementation of contactless-ticketing system.
