Metrotenerife reinforces its environmental commitment with three electric cars for the Maintenance department

In agreement with the environmental sustainability policies of Metrotenerife and for the high performance of the electric car Peugeot ION, which in 2012 joined to the fleet of the tram, the Metrotenerife Board of Management has awarded to Spain Renault the purchase of three electric cars by 64.744,45 euros. These vehicles will add to the labors of the Maintenance department.

Also it has been awarded to Ingeniería de Software de Canarias the installation and commercial exploitation of informative screens inside the trams. The screens will use the interactive platform ‘Diin Transport’ that is able to combine information and advertising.
